Let’s Make Conversation in Korean!

Posted by Maureen on February 15, 2008

.jpgOk, in direct confliction to my previous posts about learning only one or two words every day, I have a list of words that I’d like you to learn.  Because of the way the podcasts are coming through (it only picks up the first MP3 in my post), I had to divide each word into its own mini-post, so please forgive me if you are confused!  This is a very large lesson, which is why I put it on Friday.  You will be learning a lot of vocabulary here.

We are going to learn a bunch of words that are related.

Vocabulary

The first is “Student” or 학생.  Here is the language file.

The second is “Language” or 말.  Here is the language file.

The third is “Person” or 사람.  Here is the language file.

And finally, the fourth is “Teacher” or 선생.  Here is the language file.

Countries

Let’s learn some country names!

Korea - 한국 (language file)

America - 미국 (language file)

Let’s Put It Together

We’ve learned two verbs so far, 이다 and 공부하다.  We’ve also learned how to conjugate them.  So, can you make some complete sentenances with the new vocabulary that we’ve learned?

And … Korean Student?

한국 학생

How about Korean Language Student?

한국말 학생

How about Korean Language Teacher?
